So, Trek for Hannah is coming to an end. Today, 15 May, is the deadline for me to get all my sponsorship from my big trek to CLIC Sargent.

Joe* tells me that this post should be called “So long and thanks for all the cash”. While I do like the gratuitous reference to Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, I’ve decided not to close the site down. I’ve had too much fun writing it, and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it as much.

However, I will be taking a break from blogging. Tomorrow is my 26th birthday, soon it will be Hannah’s birthday and a very sad anniversary – one that I don’t want to share, much as I love you all.

My trek has helped me so much in so many ways, I’ve met amazing people, including Billy Herd, aka Billy Hero, who’s been nominated for an Our Hero award by the Daily Record.

I’ve finally got off my arse and done some exercise – and it’s done wonders for my dodgy back.

It’s helped me get through a very hard time, and to give back to CLIC Sargent – incredible people, doing amazing work.

The grand total – assuming no one decides to make a last minute donation – is an incredible *drum roll please*…

£3,580.00 Raised for CLIC Sargent!

Yep a massive £3,580.00 to fund nurse, social workers and much much more!

Thank you to each and every one of you for reading my blog, for giving up your pennies and for generally supporting me. I really couldn’t have raised so much without you.

If any of you want advice on signing up for your own charity trek, supporting CLIC Sargent or anything else, just get in touch. And if you miss the boat on donating today, my Justgiving page will still be online until 9 July 2011, while CLIC Sargent still gets the cash, I’d suggest you donate direct to them.

Bye for now, I’ll be back soon to tell you all about my next adventure(s), take care.

Celebrating my triumph!
